International Debate Tournament

On March 17th-18th Latvian, Lithuanian, Russian and Belorussian teams contested in International Debate Tournament. The tourmament took place in our school and was supported by the Riga City Council.The participants discussed relevant contemporary issues in Russian and English. Our school students Polina Vlasova, Victoria Kiļgišova and Anna Petrova (Grade 6) won 6th place among 14 teams.
Chinese language at our school

TV channel Latvija Re showed an interest in studies of the Chinese language at our school. On March 2nd the journalists attended Chinese class about Lantern Festival held by a volunteer Chinese teacher from the Confucious Institute of Latvia Ms.Yuan Yu and Ms.Evita Kalme, the teacher of the Chinese language from our school.

Due to cooperation with "Meridian" training centre in the framework of career education a lecture about educational opportunities at Sussex Downs International College(the UK) for 9-10 Grade students was held on February 4, 2016.
Chinese New Year

The concert devoted to the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) took place on February 5, 2016 at ,Virtsavas 7. More than 150 guests, teachers and students participated in the event, including the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Huang Yong, Directors of the Confucius Institute Shang Quan yu and Peter Peldegovich.
